Legoland in Windsor has closed for two days so the models can get their annual clean.
The task sees staff hosing down the children's play park to the more intricate job of cleaning
this crocodile's teeth. So after a good especially warm summer that
we've had this year, there's general wear and tear that happens throughout the summer,
so we'll have our team of model makers coming out to spruce up the Lego models.
Each model takes a different time to clean, just depending on how big it is. Mark, one
of our model makers behind us, is sprucing up our Lego crocodile made of 25,000 Lego
bricks just with a tiny toothbrush. And that's it? That's the only implement he's
got? He's got a toothbrush there. He's got some
glue and some spare Lego bricks just to replace any teeth that might have gone rogue while
the ride's been running. Well, with 80 million bricks to clean and
a forecast for rain - we really don't envy the job on their hands.
