This album has evolved around the literary inspiration of two poems
written by two very young boys.
One of them is Abramek Koplowicz who wrote the poem “A Dream”,
which talks about his dreams,
about the childish dreams that he will travel around the world,
fly by plane, visit Israel and that he will survive.
And the other poem by Abram Cytryn,
who in turn says he does not have hope
"In a dark hour I am lost in thinking",
he finishes the poem with the words: „Better a murky pit“.
All these diaries that I read,
for example the one written by Rutka Laskier or Dawid Rubinowicz,
have one characteristic feature:
their authors know what will happen to them,
they can feel it,
they see every day that more and more of their sisters and brothers are missing,
and yet they believe that they will manage,
that one day they will communicate this testimony of those times.
They did not manage to do so.
But I really wanted a young person to sing these poems
and therefore, I invited Archie Buchanan from London,
a member of the Choir of Her Majesty's Chapel Royal,
and his rendition of the the poems is fantastic, in my opinion.
