I'm Diana Finkle, Online Librarian with GTC Libraries
and this is an on-campus printing tutorial.
to print on-campus, you will need your GTC4me or Blackboard log-in information
if you do not know this or are a community user,
please contact the nearest library staff member
and we'll be glad to help you.
First, you need to send your document to the printer.
You can do this by pressing Control (Ctrl) and P
to open the print menu,
clicking on the printer icon toward the top of the screen (if you see one),
or going to the File menu and selecting Print.
Once you select either of these options,
you will see a pop-up window.
This is the log-in for the Print Trac system.
you will type in your username that you would use for GTC4me or Blackboard
as well as that password.
You do not need to type G-T-S in front of the username,
just your username.
Usually it begins with your last name.
Once you click Okay, that window will disappear
and you will get a pop-up toward the bottom of the screen
saying your document has been held in a queue.
Click on the small, blue paw print that's circled here
and that will open a small window
toward the top, right side of the screen.
In that window with the blue paw print,
click "Details..."
This will open the Print Trac log-in window.
Log in with your username and password
the same as you did in the pop-up window,
and it will open the Print Trac summary screen.
On the summary screen,
click Jobs Pending Release in the left-hand menu.
It will show you a list of all documents
waiting to be printed from your queue.
Make sure the document to be printed is what you expected in the number of pages
and that the cost is what you plan to pay
and can be covered in your balance.
Once you're ready, click Print
or if you need to start over, click Cancel.
You can tell your job is being printed
because the Action button changes from Print/ Cancel to Queuing...
and there will be a pop-up toward the bottom of your screen.
You can now go and pick up your document.
Please remember anytime you leave a public computer
to press the red Log Out button and select Okay.
Please do not log out of Windows.
If you have any trouble printing,
or have any questions about the printing process,
please contact the nearest library staff member.
