Hi everybody, Bohus here for FotodioxPro.com
and in this video we're going to look at a new idea
in lens adapters. It's right here, this is the VizeleX
EF to NEX adapter, we call it the ND Throttle
and that's the important part. Built right into the adapter itself
is a variable ND, in fact I can show you how it looks in
action. Because it's built right into the adapter
that means you don't have to invest in a whole bunch of NDs in all the different
sizes you might need depending on what lens you're
choosing for a shoot, it's just all built right into the adapter itself.
Let me show you how easy it is to mount this onto this camera.
I'm going to use my highly desirable Sony
A7, and no, you can't borrow it. The adapter just snaps on
lickety-split, okay, so we've got a nice piece of Canon EF glass
on this E-mount camera and the ND is controlled by this blue ring
around the adapter itself. So, there are a lot of reasons you might want to have an
ND right in the adapter, let's say
you're doing a shoot and you've got a bunch of lenses you're swapping between,
well, again, you don't have to have a full set of NDs for each lens in all the
different sizes you might need. If you're a filmmaker,
let's say you're out in a bright location but you want to get that shallow depth
of field, that real cinematic look,
you can now do that in bright daylight by just dialing in
exactly how much neutral density you need.
Same thing if you're a still photographer, you can shoot
long exposures even in bright daylight like these photos that we're showing you
right here:
get those cool artistic blurs and it's just a really nice look,
and you're able to dial in exactly the amount of
ND that you need just using the adapter itself. So, as you can see,
it's really handy, it's really compact and it adds a lot of versatility to your
adapted lenses. If you'd like to learn more just click the link below this

experimenting with the ND Throttle
we found a really cool technique for Canon lenses that the ND Throttle is
perfect for.
Check it out, we made a video about it, it's right here. My name's Bohus,
thanks for watching.
