After you've mastered a hopping, over the lines in the concrete or other things like
that, flat objects, you're going to need to go ahead and progress to small objects. What
you're going to do, is you're going to combine the technique of hopping, from a straight
stall, and doing bunny hops because when you come up to, I have a tree branch here, a small
limb that I'm going to hop over. When I come to this, I'm not just going to ride straight
up to it and hop over it because, a lot of times, I'm going to be on uneven ground, that
would be convenient or it would be really difficult to do that, when my pedals when
be in the right position. I'm going to ride up close to it, get my pedals in the right
position and then I'm going to hop over to it, until I'm positioned correctly, then I'm
going to let my body lean over the branch, because that's the direction I want to bring
the unicycle, and then when I've leaned over, to what I think is enough, I'm going to hop
up with the unicycle and carry it all the way over the branch with me. It looks like
this. I want my pedals in the right position and then I'm going to hop over to the branch.
Notice I'm not using bunny hops, I'm stalling and hopping. Then go over it, after I think
that I've leaned enough, and then you can ride off. That's how you hop over small objects.
