Alright, check it out. Today we're looking at the Samsung N120 Netbook.
Another one comes to the market, and as you can imagine, it's probably very similiar
to the rest, and it actually is. But, it brings a couple things to the table,
and part of that comes from the brand name Samsung. Everyone loves Samsung.
I never met somebody that says, "Geez, Samsung sucks." No one.
Their TVs are awesome. Their laptops are awesome. They make batteries and memory.
It's all awesome. Really good stuff, and what I like about these is just what I like
about every Samsung laptop or notebook, it is the fact that everything in here
is made by Samsung. They're not outsourcing all their parts.
So, you know that Samsung makes excellent batteries.
Well guess what? They put their awesome battery in here.
They make pannels. They're obviously really good at making displays and monitors.
It's their display in here. It's a 200 knit display in here from Samsung.
Other stuff, like the memory is by Samsung as well.
So you get all that combination of high quality parts on here and it gives you
a little bit more value in the long term.
It also is gonna give you a little more battery because the monitor
is a little more efficient, the battery is a little better,
it's very high quality stuff.
And it works very, very well. Now, let's take a quick look on here.
You're going to notice everything is kind of average on the front.
You do have a trackpad at the bottom here with your scrolling feature.
That is quite useful. You have a ton of activity lights down here.
I don't even know what all of these are for. Caps, Num Lock, Scroll Lock,
Hardrive, WiFi, and Power, are all right here,
and then charging is the one, the little one right there.
Also, on this side over here, you're going to notice that you do have an SD port
right over here. There you go. Right over here. So if you wanted to pull that out
to put an SD card in there, that's great. You can off-load photos on to the hardrive.
No problem. Also, you'll notice, if you go to the sides over here,
you've got quite a few things. First of all, your power button is right there.
So that's a little bit different. Very nice, illuminates so you know that it's on.
You got your VGA port, USB 2.0s, and your input and output for your headset
and your microphones. Coming along to the other side now,
you're going to notice that this is where your power is going to go,
on the left-hand side. Your 10/100 Ethernet jack is right there.
This is a fan louver. And then you have two USB 2.0 ports right there.
Also, don't forget, these are great on the road for communication and
for, pretty much for video conferencing becuase they have built-in webcams.
These are 1.3 megapixel DIGITAL LIVECAM, which is what Samsung calls it,
and Samsung makes that, as well. Extremely high quality, looks really good.
And is pretty decent in low-light, as well, I might add.
So, very, very nice. Now obviously, as you can imagine, this is an N270 atom processor,
1.6 GHz. It's got 1 GB of DDR2 RAM. It's a 160 GB hard drive on here.
Bluetooth is on here as well, it's 2.0 with EDR.
You got B and G draft wireless, they're not draft, just B/G wireless.
A 6-cell lithium-ion battery is extremely impressive on here.
So, this Samsung battery back here is nice. It's going to give you about 6 hours
of usage on this device, which is absolutely incredible.
It's basically almost all day. It's very, very nice.
It's a 10.1'' display, as you can see here. It's very pretty.
It's a 200 knit, and resolution is 1024 this way, by 600 this way.
It's a 200 knit, right now it's very bright, as you can see.
I'm going to go ahead and lower it a little bit for the camera.
You know, there you go all the ways down, and all the way up in brightness.
Very nice. It's got some decent speakers for a netbook, which sound also very good.
And also, you will notice that just like all netbooks, you have an assortment
of function keys up here at the top. So if you want to hold a function lock button
down here, you can pretty much check your battery, you can do all sorts of conversion,
switch your monitor through its different settings,
adjust the brightness and adjust your volume for your speakers.
Turn your WiFi on and off, kill the trackpad,
there's a ton of stuff on here you can do. It makes it really fast.
And a lot of people don't even know this, but on your netbooks,
if you hold the function key down, you have these numbers right here.
This gives you the functionality of a trackpad on the side,
or of a number pad on the side.
And that could be quite useful sometimes if you're really used to using that to
do calculations, if you're an accountant or if you're doing a lot of math all the time.
Awesome little netbook, it's the N120 from Samsung.
If you have any questions on it, Email me, and I'll see you guys next time.
