Now to Austin in the West Weather Center!
Today the high is expected to be 54 degrees and it is raining. Tomorrow the high is expected
to be 57 degrees with a low of 41 degrees. It looks like it's going to rain most of the
week with a 40% chance on Tuesday, 30% chance on Wednesday, and a 40% chance, again, on
Thursday.
Now to Jaydon in sports!

courts. All athletes interested in playing tennis for Borah should come to this important
tryout!
Lewis, Garey, Pierce, Woods, Warnock, and Opland-Evers galloped past Les Bois in true
Mustang fashion last week! Ahlstrom, Ledeskey, ELL, Gilliland, Smith,
and Makaafi will tell you that your mustang pony express had nostrils flared and horseshoes
flying as they corralled Les Bois 53-36! Today the men of mustang will defeat the sad alma
mater of Mr Standlee and Mr Johns as the Fairmont birdies will be turned into fried falcon.
Baseball Tryouts for the Borah High Freshman baseball team is tomorrow! The tryouts will
be at South Boise Little League, Liberty Park, at 4:30. Coach Von Lindern is the freshman
head coach this year and is very excited for the season. All players must be fully dressed
out for tomorrows tryout. If you would like to check in with Coach Von Lindern, his office
is located upstairs, across from the elevator.
To be a state champion in any event is something to be proud of. To be a state champion as
a 9th grader is an accomplishment that very few people have ever achieved. To be a State
Champion as a 9th grader in a sport like wrestling where it is truly you who was the champion
puts you into an elite class of athletics that very few people in the nation are a part
of. We have one of those elite athletes right here at West Jr. High. Peter Huntsman stand
and be recognized! Peter is the current Idaho State Wrestling Champion in the 98 lb weight
division. Peter swept the weight class with scores of 11-1, 3-0, 8-3 and a total domination
in the finals with a score of 5-0. Congratulations Peter Huntsman!
Now back to the studio.
Congratulations to Mr. Hickey for being named Teacher of the Month and to Bryan DeFares
for being named Staff of the Month. Both of these people are exceptional in their positions
and make West a great place for students.
What do Fairy Tale characters when they have a bad hair day???? Come and see the West Drama
Club's production of "Fantastic Frills Day Spa and Salon" to find out. Curtain goes up
at 7pm, Friday, March 7th on the stage.
Art 1 and 7th grade Arts and Crafts wish Dr. Seuss a Happy Birthday. See their Collaborative
collages honoring him.
The word of the day is caveat, meaning warning or caution.
Today in history in 1790, President George Washington signed a measure authorizing the
first U.S. census.
Today is national "Be Happy Day", so be happy Mustangs.
Happy birthday to William Johnson, Hailey Yoder, and Carolos Baretto. Celebrity birthdays
are Toby Tuner and Buddy Velastro.
The quote of the day is from Jim Rohn. He said, "Discipline is the bridge between goals
and accomplishment."
This is Lucas! And Victoria!
Stay classy West Junior High!
