Chris: Chris Hoffman, the Business Development Manager at Wheaton Honda. Today we're talking
about the 2014 Pilot. The 2014 Pilot all come with
a 3.5 liter 250 Horsepower, variable cylinder management engine. Variable cylinder management
allows you to run in 3,4, or 6 cylinders. You'll see
a little eco-light come on in the dash, and that means that you are running at a lower
cylinder. You have the 6 cylinders as you need them. So on the
highway, extra power for passing and what have you.
The Pilot was first introduced into the Honda line-up in 2003. We've seen a few variations
as we've gone forward with it. The Pilot was redesigned in 2009, and
the basic structure you see now is what that redesign brought us. Just a little bit more
user friendly in the center stack where your radio and controls are.
Great family vehicle when you take those trips up to the mountains or what have you. Full
confidence that this car is going to get you where you need to go, and
do it safely. Standard features again all through the Honda
lineup. Ace body structure, side airbags, curtain airbags throughout the vehicle. Of
course, dual stage, multi threshold in the front of the vehicle. Occupant protection
system on the passenger side of the vehicle, so somebody who is a little bit slighter or
has fallen asleep, it'll shut the airbag off to that side of the vehicle. You have
a 60/40 split throughout the back, that is consistent with the middle row. So if you
have those longer items and still want to take a few passengers with you, you have the
ability to do that. One thing that is quite interesting is that
the middle move independently of themselves, so you can create a better seating capacity
for the back passengers as well. We're very proud of the Honda Pilot in our
lineup, it is a vehicle that we sell with confidence. The people that we have with it
have great satisfaction with the vehicle as they
continue to own it and service it. A lot of people who carried on with leases
continue to come back and get the new features on the next version of the vehicle. They retain
their value so very well, extremely good for our weather, our weather conditions,
road conditions. All the way through, from Summer, straight through to the slushy muck
that we see most times." [music]
