K: Dear Norwegian and Swedish sing-along friends, it's summer, it's Thursday and we are here in Halden with more fun and more “Allsang på Grensen”.
And it is a great pleasure for me to present the evening's co-host.
He is at least as positive as Askeladden (a Norwegian fairytale figure), but far more musical, and has already won both the Norwegian and the Swedish kingdom.
Ladies and gentlemen - Alexander Rybak!
AR: Thank you, Kathrine. Yes, I am here again, the world's best place, the world's best people, the world's best musicians, the world's finest lady, you.
K: Oi! There we started with the flirting. But it's not just you and me who will flirt this evening, for we will sing duets, and seduce Sing-along hearts in full measure. Our guests are: Jahn Teigen,
AR: Anita Skorgan
K: Didrik Solli-Tangen
AR: My friend, Mats Paulsson
K: And Dance with a stranger!
K: This will be quite an evening, and Alexander you have been here a few times before, and you know these people very well now. Don't you?
AR: Yeah, I know you.
K: And you know what will make them and me very happy?
AR: Now, I do not know. Could it be this one?
K: There is a man in Norway, which perhaps is as highly valued as you are in the Eurovision Song Contest Alexander, despite receiving 0 points.
AR: 0 points and 0 points, the Norwegian people choose to give him a full pot every time.
K: And we will continue with that, and even the King has appointed him Knight of the first class. Here is everyone's Jahn Teigen and "Mile after Mile."
K: The boys who are ready on stage now have been providing the party and good mood ever since we saw them for the first time, and it was actually 2 years before you were born Alexander.
AR: Is it that long ago? K: Yes
AR: That is hard to believe, these guys work just as well as us 18 year olds today. K: Exactly
AR: This is "Dance with a stranger" and "Let's go!"
K: Here we have Alexander Rybak's good friend and one of Sweden's biggest folksong artists and poets, Mats Paulsson.
And Mats, you have to tell me how did you found out about Alexander?
MP: I was searching - I Googled myself actually, is that acceptable? K: Yes, of course.
MP: Yes, it was “Visa Vid Vindens Änger” on YT, and there was a new video, and then I saw a boy who played the violin, and he stands there and plays and sings la la la, and I was thrilled.
And then my wife said from the first floor: - Come down now, it's the ESC!
- I do not care about that, I have found a boy on YT who plays violin with the song. - Yes, but it is him who is going to win!- she said.
K: Wow, it must have been fate, for now it has been cooperation, a CD and friendship.
And now we look forward to hearing the song that has become my personal favorite this summer. This is Alexander Rybak and "Resan till dig"
K: Beautiful Alexander! AR: What an honor!
K: Yeah right. Jahn Teigen and Anita Skorgan, welcome back to Fredriksten Festning.
JT: A very nice song. It is lovely. AR: Thank you, it is in Swedish.
AS: That works too. (Speaking Swedish) K: Of course, it does.
AR: Applause to Jahn and Anita!
K: Then my friends, it's time to put your arms around the person who is sitting next to you and sing along.
AR: Then I put my arms around the one I sit next to, and enjoy Jahn Teigen and Anita "Slå ring".
AR: Hold on, keep together, because we will soon be back with more sing-a-long from Halden.
KM: And then we will sing more with Jahn Teigen and ...
AR: Anita Skorgan
KM: Didrik Solli-Tangen
AR: Sweden’s biggest folksong-legend Mats Paulson
KM: and "Dance with a Stranger." Don’t miss it. AR: See you!
K: Welcome back to Fredriksten Festning in Halden and more "Allsang på grensen."
AR: The atmosphere is great, the sun is shining and the girls are flirting, and Katherine and I feel young again. This is "Dance with a stranger" and "Invisible man"!
K: Many people have been concerned about these two guys' love life. Do they have a girlfriend? Who is the girlfriend? Do they fight about the same girls?
It's not given that we get all the answers here tonight, but we may get some info: here are Didrik Solli-Tangen and Alexander Rybak with "Drømmedama"!
KM: Now we have come to what means the most to you tonight, Alexander.
AR: I'm really looking forward to this, because now we can experience the man, the legend, we can even say our new friend.
This man has inspired me a lot this year and has been a kind of therapy. And now I have a collaboration with him. Ladies and gentlemen - Mats Paulsen with "Visa Vid Vindens Anger".
K: Did you know that «Allsangs» May-Kristin was in the choir for Didrik Solli-Tangen in the Eurovision Song Contest?
AR: Dear Katherine, If there is anything I know all about, it is females in choir. But did you know that "Allsangs" Kari Anne was in my choir in the Eurovision Song Contest?
K: Yes I did. AR: Okay.
K: For this, girls are simply the best. Here is Kari Anne, May Kristin and Didrik with the legendary "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go".
K: Now Jahn Teigen and Anita Skorgan, after being on stage together for two years, are drawing a line.
AR: Yes, and we are allowed to be a little sad.
K: A little sad, but it is very nice too. Enjoy them, just the way we remember them from 1982 with the beautiful song, perhaps for the last time on TV. Jahn Teigen and Anita Skorgan - "Adieu."
K: Yes, and it's also time to say goodbye for the two of us Alexander
AR: It has been very, very wonderful Kathrine. But now you must allow me to follow you home.
K: I do not think that is such a good idea, because I am a little afraid that Øyvind Mund (mouth in English) will get grumpy.
AR: Oh yes, Øyvind «grympymouth»
K: Yes, and I need him to be gentle with me next week. And our guests will be Tone Damli Aaberg, Gabrielle, Dr. Alban, Vassensgutane, Olav Stedje and 80's legend Nick Kershaw.
AR: Thanks to all the tonight's performers. Thanks to all of you who came to the show, not to mention a huge thank you to the guys who always deliver, Hans' orchestra!
K: And until we meet again in a week, enjoy yourselves with "sing-a-long» material on Tv2.no. Thank you for tonight!
AR: Have a nice evening!
