Every funding opportunity contains a range of content that is broken up into four tabs
on the View Grant Opportunity page.
The Synopsis tab provides a high-level overview of the grant opportunity.
It includes the Posted Date, Closing Date, Estimated Total Program Funding, Expected
Number of Awards, Eligibility, and other information.
For some grant opportunities, you may see a Forecast tab in place of the Synopsis tab.
Forecasts are similar to synopses but contain information about planned grant opportunities.
Key data fields include the Estimated Synopsis Post Date, the Estimated Application Due Date,
the Estimated Award Date, the Estimated Project Start Date and the Fiscal Year.
When a forecast has been published, the word “forecasted” will be listed in the grant
opportunity record’s search listings.
This makes it easy for applicants to narrow their searches to include only forecasted
opportunities.
The Version History tab contains information about changes made to the Forecast or Synopsis.
The Related Documents tab contains a list of any supplementary files and web links provided
by the federal grant-making agency.
The Package tab lists the opportunity packages currently available for the funding opportunity.
For each available package, you will see a Preview link and an Apply link.
The preview link will open a pop-up window containing a list of all the packages forms.
You can view each form as a flat PDF by clicking on the form title.
Upon clicking the Apply link, you will be able to create a workspace and begin adding
participants and filling out your forms.
Look for the red Create Workspace button and click it.
If you are not logged in, the red button will read Login to Apply Now.
You will also need to log in if you want to subscribe to notifications about the funding
opportunity.
Look for the red button on the top, right corner of the page.
