Hello. My name is Todd Luck and I create comics.
I've literally been making sequential art ever since I could pick up a crayon.
In high school I drew comics with my own characters every chance I got
Churning out page after page of pencil and paper comics.
In college I got to take it up a level for a class project
and made my first printed comic with a script, inks, computer lettering,
the whole nine yards.
I did a 15 page black and white story from College Follies,
a series of comedy stories I'd plotted,
following the misadventures of a college student named Stickboy.
After I graduated I got busy with life and work
and creating comics was put on the backburner.
When I went back to college to get my journalism degree
I did get to break out my pencil and pen again as a cartoonist for the school newspaper
And Stickboy would show up in those every now and then
just as a little inside joke for myself.
After that comics went to the backburner again, but were always on my mind.
Recently I decided to go for it and pursue my life long dream of being a comic creator.
The advent of online comics gives me an easy, no cost way
to start putting out comics and getting them into the hands of readers.
I'll start with College Follies, returning to the original story I put out in college,
touching it up and coloring it.
After that I'll do a series of short stories chronicling the further adventures of Stickboy
and his friends.
College Follies is an epic parody of life itself. Every story is different.
One story might poke fun at superhero comics,
the next might send Stickboy on an epic quest to get change for a laundry machine.
Anything and everything goes.
Since I work a fulltime job and I'm doing this in my spare time,
I'll be putting out a few short stories a year.
You'll be able to follow the whole process on my blog:
the creation of the comics, submitting them to sites a
nd ultimately where you'll be able to go to see the finished product.
Along the way they'll be regular updates showing you what I've been working on.
And I'm hoping what will start as a series of short stories will turn into something
more.
I'd like to find artists to collaborate with to turn College Follies into a full length
ongoing series.
And I'd love to find art teams for my other concepts.
I've literally got hundreds of pages of plots for dozens of science fiction and fantasy
concepts
just waiting to be brought to life.
And you'll to get watch it all unfold on my blog,
on my Facebook page
and Youtube channel.
And on other social media like Twitter and Google Plus.
So be sure to go to my sites listed in the info to this video,
subscribe to my channel and like and share this video.
Thank you guys and thanks for watching.
See you in the funny pages.
Always wanted to say that.
