The Acoustic Geometry Front Wall is an easy-to-install modular system.
Start the installation by measuring the left-to-right back wall space and mark the center line on
the wall. Then measure and mark the center line on the
center module and line up the two marks.
Make sure the center module is flush to the back wall
and level using shims and spacers where needed. Once the module is solidly in place, attach
the module to the back wall at the vertical studs.
Place the right and left bottom modules. Make sure they are flush and level and attach
them to the back wall studs. Take your time, the bottom three modules must
be flush and level across the entire wall. Now the top modules can be placed starting
again with the center module. Each module is lifted into place and attached
to the adjoining modules once it's flush.
The top modules can then be attached to the back wall vertical studs.
The five top modules are clamped and attached in place.
Then acoustic insulation is placed into the four
side modules. The front cover plates are attached to the
side modules and the side trim plates are measured,
cut, checked for fit, and attached in place. The front wall is now ready for the finishing
panels and trim pieces.
Throughout the installation, accurate measurements are critical for integrity and appearance.
Use a level to make sure the equipment and closure
trim frames are horizontally aligned. And using a spacer board will speed up the
installation as well as giving the trim frames a
clean appearance. To install the top finishing panels, mate
the two pairs of z-clips and measure the distance
between them.
Measure and mark the z-clip lines on the top side
plates and remove the z-clip adhesive cover paper.
Align the z-clips with the mark lines and attach them
to the top plates. The finishing panels can then be set in place
with gentle downward pressure.
Take your time, measuring and attaching. The panels can be adjusted sideways, but not
vertically. The base trim and fireplace trim can now be
measured, cut, and attached.
Again, a spacer board makes this job much easier.
Plug in the fireplace and attach the top and side brackets
according to the manufacturer's instructions. Set up spacers and shims to align and level
the fireplace. Drill the bracket holes and attach the fireplace
to the front wall.
Remove the shims and spacers. Measure, drill, and mount the bottom trim
board, making sure the access notch lines up.
Slide on the glass cover and check the alignment of the speaker grille panels.
The Acoustic Geometry Front Wall System: beautifully complete any room.
