This is Kyle with Expert Village going through some very very basic stuff if you are new
to Premiere Pro. One of the most basic of all things, is this little snap tool that
is there on the top left side of the time line window. And if you notice when you are
not on using the snap tool and when you are dragging stuff over it is real easy to accidentally
erase over stuff so I like to just grab the snap tool because when you pull it, you will
notice it shows a line, a black line right where you are snapping to. So you know that
you are not crossing over the frame because a lot of time if I didn't have the snap tool
on, I would find myself going over and sliding a clip across and I would accidentally clip
their word, just something like that. Now this little box up here, this is the safe
margin box. Very simple you can click right there and you can look around and it just
tells you that this is what television probably is, so a lot of televisions go in as far as
that much. So you want to be sure that if there is stuff on the very far edge maybe
your credits or maybe the picture of somebody's face or close up of his eye, you want to be
sure they can see it.
