Hi. We’re going to take a minute
or two to go over how to request accommodations online
through Student Disability Services’ online services portal.
Let’s first talk about how to get to our database.
The easiest way to do this is to go to the SDS homepage
at usfca.edu/sds. Once there,
over on the right, under “Quick Links”, is a link for SDS Online Services.
Click that, and it brings you to our sign in page. You should
have a username and password from your specialist. If you don’t,
contact us and we’ll do what we can to get you one.
If you have forgotten your password, click on “Reset My Password”
over on the left. I’m going to put in information for a fictional student
named “Jane Austen.”
When you log in, you’ll be at your “overview” page.
If you scroll down, you’ll see that all of your current
courses are listed. For the purposes of this demonstration, I'm just
going to do this for one of these courses. But of course when you do
this, you can select all of the courses in which you would like
to request accommodations, and submit them at the same time.
So let’s select one.
You’ll see that the name of the course appears, as well as all of the
important course information. Go ahead and select what
accommodations you would like in this class, and then select the
checkbox underneath it if you would like
SDS to email the accommodation letter to your professor.
And then simply hit "submit".
When you see that green checkmark, it means that your request
has been successfully submittted. Your SDS specialist will email out
your accommodation letter on your behalf.
