So now I have my one pound ball of clay and this will be for the dip bowl. I'll do the
same method that I did before for centering only it's a lot smaller so it's a little easier.
And then once I've got it centered I'll push in with my finger and I'm pinching already
and pulling up. I start the pull immediately. It's part of the opening with something this
small. And then I'm just going to continue pinching and pulling up the sides. You want
it to be wide enough that people can get in there with their chip and big enough that
it can hold a lot of dip. And then I'm going to undercut it. And that's our dip bowl. And
the beautiful thing about this particular style of chip and dip is that I don't have
to attach this to the chip bowl yet. When I glaze this item I will actually glaze the
bottom which you wouldn't normally do. And set it in the dip bowl and let them fuse together
in the kiln. It saves you a step and it makes you a beautiful fused chip and dip bowl.
