Now, I've been mentioning this is a lot throughout this series--the names of the strings. Now,
if we take a look at all six strings, usually the highest string is one, two three, four,
five, six. That's not always the case, but you'll sometimes see that on tuners as string
six being the thickest string. Now, they all have names. This would be the high E string,
to differentiate from the low E string, but they're both E notes, plain and simple. The
second string would be a B, the third string would be a G, the fourth string would be a
D, the fifth string would be an A. Now, if you take a look at this through the chromatic
scale, if you start with an E, then you go to F, then F sharp, then G, then G sharp,
then A, you'll see that the fifth fret is the same as the next open string. That's why
this open string is an A.
