Hey guys, how's it going? I'm Grace, this is Game On and I've got the best gaming news
for you. First up, Hi-Rez studios, the guys behind free-to-play game Tribes: Ascend have
released their new game, SMITE and here's a sexy cinematic trailer to go alongside it.
After hanging out in an extended open beta phase the game raked up over 3 million players.
For those who haven't heard about the game, Hi-Rez describe it as an online battleground
of the gods and this trailer introduces you to some of them. You select your character
and powers to take on third person pvp action with practice, normal, league and custom modes.
The game's out now on PC and it's free so you might want to think about having a go.
Up next, Battlefield 4 gets its third expansion pack with Naval Strike coming to PS3 and PS4
but unfortunately for PC players the expansions has been delayed indefinitely after an issue
was detected. The new expansion welcomes dynamic weather patterns, four nautical-themed maps
and a new game mode. You'll also get yourself a new vehicle, the two-seater ACV hovercraft
which means you can get yourself on water and on land, you can check that out in this
trailer. The full link to the trailer is in the description below alongside the link to
PlayStation's official blog post to check out all the different maps and things.
I don't want to have more layoffs to tlak about but unfortunately I do. Sony has laid
off an undisclosed number of their staff from three of its UK developers Evolution Atudios,
SCE London Studio and Guerrilla Cambridge. Sony has said the layoffs are due to restricting
and have also said that the development, already delayed for PS4 racing game DriveClub is unaffected
by the layoffs. SCE London Studio, the devs behind The Playroom on PS4 are said to be
working on an unannounced title at the moment but we'll have to wait and see what that is.
