Welcome to the Enoch Pratt Free Library
State Library Resource Center's Handy Dandy Rhymes.
The rhyme of the month is "Sing a Song of Sixpence."
[singing] Sing a song of sixpence, a pocket full of rye
Four and twenty black birds baked in a pie.
When the pie was opened the birds began to sing.
Wasn't that a dainty dish to set before the king?
The king was in his counting house, counting out his money. One...two...
The queen was in the parlor eating bread and honey.
The maid was in the garden, hanging up the clothes.
Along came a blackbird and pecked off her nose!
Then came Jenny Wren and popped it on again.
You don't need to this with real birds, you can just to it all by yourself.

Thank you.
