This is very common with throwing athletes
straining the flexor muscles of the forearm
and from here I'm going to have these muscles on stretch, so I'm going to have you actually pull
your fingers back
putting a stretch on these flexor muscles here
creating the anchor points
and just above the bone on the inside or medial
part of the elbow
I'm going to place that anchor point there
and from here I'll peel the paper off
with no tension
and we can form that Y-strip
and with the muscles on stretch
I'm just laying the tape
down over those muscles
I'm going to rub that on
and staying on stretch, I'm going to tear
a second piece of tape
again creating
that anchor point
and now, if this is the site of pain
I'm actually going to tape
just above that
peeling the tape off
and forming a Y-strip
and from here and going to pull the skin slightly as I put
medium tension on the tape
laying the tape down
the last one to two inches of tape with no tension
again
on this side, I'm pulling the skin towards the anchor point
laying the tape down
and again on the tail of the tape
no tension
one word of caution
you're on the nerve tracks on the inside part of your elbow
with the black strips here, if you have too much tension on the tape
you could potentially cause
some numbness and tingling in the
little finger and ring finger
of that hand
if that does happen
lighten the tension on that tape.
