Putting the wheels on the skateboard. When you're putting your wheels on your skateboard,
a lot of people choose different ways to do this. Now, the shape of a wheel may vary depending
on the riding surface of the wheel, and some wheels have different shapes. But usually
wheels are pretty symmetrical, so it doesn't matter which way they actually go in on the
board. Now, some people choose to put the graphic on the inside, so that they can have
a nice clean white wheel on the outside, and it sometimes looks a little bit better. I
usually do the same thing. So, you're going to want to make sure that you put your washers
in, and put the bolts on. Now,
while putting your bolts on the wheels, you want to make sure that all of your wheels
are the same way. What you want to do is make sure that all the graphics are heading in,
because some wheels like I said have different shapes, so, you're going to want to make sure
that they're all exactly the same. Now, as I said before, you want to make sure that
if you choose to give your board a little bit of a rattle, that all four wheels are
like this. And this way your board will feel more consistent, and you won't have one certain
wheel that is acting different from another wheel. Some people choose to use risers in
between their two bearings. Now what risers do is risers allow for a locking between the
two bearings. Now, some people choose to use risers and some people don't. And if you do
choose to use risers, sometimes they actually won't connect between the two bearings inside
the wheel. So what you want to make sure you do is check the inside of your wheel and make
sure that they actually touch the inside circles. So spacers aren't always necessary, but some
people believe in using them. And this is how you properly attach the wheels to the
board.
