Ancylopolyp gives any solo a hard time. It controls around 55% of the field with its arm flails and it doesn't help mini-poylps go around zoning with bubbles. Normally, I would want to eradicate the poylps immediately with mystic cage, but I need to save it for the 2nd or 3rd poylp rounds.
Thunder Blade more or less OHKOs two of the poylps. One of them always seem to float off somewhere else. After taking those out it's try to plan my next move. Due to poylp zoning and anc. wide range I can't make many moves.
Gravity well is really not the best option for this guy. If he creeps towards the middle and camps he can lock Jade in the corner with no oppertunity to escape. Trying to double jump large enemies like this ultimately leads to getting smacked down by vertical arc hitboxes. A common factor in other large bosses like Kaiser Dist XX and Fyr Bronc.
Thankfully Anc is inclined to cast spells if not aggravated. By standing idle or guarding it typically will cast splash mid-way. Giving some room to escape and throw spells out. After figuring this out did gravity well become an option again.
Even without rhythm turbulance and his other mid-spells cast pretty fast. Shame I only recently confirmed at Van you have to mash X for rhythm.
I was kind of debating the idea of switching to physical artes at this point, but then I realized I rather burn the TP throwing t-blades so the video doesn't need to drag out
Even though I try to take advantage of bosses when they do their step-backs. Just about every non-human boss takes a few steps back after an attack. Leaving them defenseless briefly.
I was beginning to enter a debacle here. TP reserves are getting low and I know switching to spirit symbol would lead to my HP getting shaved off quickly. Even with guard this thing can really break through Jade's lower p.defense. Between that and summoning poylps soon I have to start taking more gambles.
At this point I need a gravity well so I can effectively plan my new approach since I know poylps are coming soon. I need to build TP back up and decide if I should use my OVL on the upcoming poylps.
There is always one that wants to escape. Now I'm getting concerned about pressure from poylp zone bubbles and Anc deciding to throw tentacles halfway around the field. It is really not a good situation at the time.
I needed the mystic cage at this rate. To get rid of that poylp and get some damage on Anc.
I only need about 200 TP to take out the remaining amount of HP. Now that I can build my HP back up the battle is smoothing back out.
Dude has to be trippin' throwing a diBine sabah. At this point though t-blades do great damage, has great stagger rates if I want to approach with the lance, and one shots any poylps if he decides to summon them.
I was wondering if the game was seriously going to let that thing thing a t-blade and t-lance with 54 HP. Anyway, it's looking like my last gambit here to finish it off. We're both at a kill or be killed range.
Splash, blessed drops, etc are ridiculously slow spells so I had no worries about throwing that t-blade.
