Hiking
Mount Prana Apuan Alps 3420 feet.
Starting from Passo Luccese of 1540 feet. From here follow the signs to the footpath
number 101, to be taken near the White House.
Going for an hour and a half you reach a fork, about 2800 feet above sea level, hence the
path number 104 leads to the summit of Monte Prana.
The
peak has a beautiful view to the east, the Apennines, north of the group Pania, the sea
to the west and south of the Pisa Mountains.
The path is not particularly challenging. In winter you can find a bit of snow, but
the exposure to the sea, is unfavorable for mountaineering.
Is possible to conclude the excursion in 5 or 6 hours.
Until next time.
