Herky Huffman Bull Creek Wildlife Management Area is over 23,600 acres located in Osceola County.
This area offers some fantastic hunting opportunities.
There's an Archery season, a muzzloading, and a general gun season. All of which require a quota.
There's also a small game season, a spring turkey season, and a migratory bird season.
Come on out and enjoy the great outdoors!
There is an abundance of wildlife out here.
I have seen some deer, several signs of hogs and more deer, there have been turkey tracks...
and there have been a ton of different birds that personally I can't even identify. But they're fun to look at!
One unique but very cool feature about this management area is the 8.6 mile loop trail.
A brochure can be acquired at the check station and you can give yourself a self guided tour that will explain
the habitats and all the cool wildlife that thrive in this environment.
If you're interested in hiking, don't forget the Florida Natural Scenic Trail passes through this area.
It's a beautiful section of the trail that traverses through a variety of habitats such as
pine flatwoods, cypress dome forests, and some beautiful other areas.
Wildlife is abundant, so keep your eyes and ears open. There's no telling what you might see or find. Good Luck!!
And if you get this far down the loop road, make sure you take the little detour and check out Billy Lake.
It's a beautiful little lake, cypress trees completely surround the area.
It's very, very pretty. I'm looking at several little gators. There's some fish going on down here.
I deffinatley would reccomend going a little way out of the way and come check this out.
This is a beautiful area and I have really enjoyed being out here!
