Actor Danny Woodburn has reportedly been cast as Master Splinter in producer Michael Bay's
Ninja Turtles.
Woodburn played Big Figure in Watchmen. He's also known for his recurring role as "Mickey"
on Seinfeld.
Splinter, of course, is the rat who raised the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the
sewers and mentored them in Ninjutsu.
Jonathan Liebesman is directing the live-action and CG-hybrid Ninja Turtles, which is now
filming. Liebesman previously directed Wrath of the Titans, Battle Los Angeles, and Texas
Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning.
The new Ninja Turtles film has been surrounded with nerd controversy ever since the script
was leaked last year, revealing many changes to the TMNT story.
Recently, Alan Ritchson, the motion-capture actor playing Raphael, spoke out in defense
of the film.
Quote: "The frustrating thing for me since I've signed on is that you hear that it's
already got a reputation. People assume they know what it's going to be about, and those
people are wrong.
"You want to tell everybody how great it is, and you can't really say why, but it is."
I guess we’ll have to take his word for it. For more on Ninja Turtles, stay tuned
