Hey Youtubers, thought I would shoot a video real quick - show you my setup here
Just got it going
Just doing some trials with different, uh
so this is my water heater,
wood fired water heater.
obviously it's built on a gas water tank
gas water heater, and uh
using a rocket stove at the bottom to
heat it up.. right now its
lets see, temperature is about 107
degrees
this seems to be climbing, lets see it's
50 gallons of water in there, the tank is full. seems to be climbing about
one degree every
seventy or eighty seconds, something like that. which is
pretty darn good, in my opinion anyway.
um just been running for a little bit
and I thought I would share that with you. this concrete base
is about maybe 18 bucks worth of concrete block
definitely worth the money for that, to have some secure
I think that tank weighs about 600 pounds when its full so
wanted to have some sturdy. Anyway, in the future
um, the tubing here is gonna be
insulated. The front face here
where the chamber comes through is gonna be
cement board, and then the entire interior
is gonna be filled with perlite for insulation to
to give me you know anywhere between insulation
eight-inches' insulation all the way
around the hot parts, so that should help out too. still working on some sort of
feed system so I can burn some their logs
but as a right now, just kind of a
proof of concept. anyway, um, any suggestions,
constructive
criticism would be handy.
got any thoughts how to make it better?
no smoke, as you can see. burns nice and clean
thats uh.. oh what is it?
Fir
that I'm burning I think and
a little bit of pine. Anyways, let me know what you thing. Bye
