my name is Sondra Williamson
and I am a mountain biker. I never really thought about
oh it's only a lot of guys or girls. I just thought well I like this sport,
so I'm going to try it and it didn't matter who was doing it
It was something
I thought would be fun to do.
I'd definitely say riding with the guys pushed my level more, kept me
having to chase all the time to try to keep up with the guys - I definitely
had to work
off the bike. If I'm not training on the bike I will
other places and I'll run the stadiums.
The jumping is useful because it works on your core, and when you land
you have to be balanced
and you do the jumping one leg or two legs so it works on both
core and balance really well. I have more confidence to say I'm just gonna
plow through this because I'm strong in my core and
I really love training more outside than inside.
You have all kinds of freedom here, you don't have these walls confining you
in a little space so right away my heart just feels free
and it loves that feeling,
and those are the special moments that makes it all worth it.
