A big day for you? Want to be in the limelight? I came up with a stunning look for you. Check it out.
I've applied the foundation and now I take a darker shade of powder - tone 35. Just a slight correction, to add some dimension - lighter in the center, darker on the outside.
Now - the blushes. - Tell me how to applythose, I never knew how to do that.
- Smile, and apply it on the area that sticks out, the apple of the cheek, in such motions.
Using this very brush, apply the blushes on the crease of the eyelid.
- With the blushes? - That's right. Their texture is just like the eyeshadow.
Now - the blue eyeshadow. From the inner corner to the outer one.
Working the volume of the eyelid. From the inner corner to the top and from the outer corner to the top.
I'm using blue eyeshadow Naval by Mac and a synthetic round brush by Mac.(The same on the left eye)
Apply and smudge the upper edge of the shadow, to make it look smudgy and less sharp.
When applying the eyeshadow it is important to slightly push it in.
Every product has its own way of usage; with the color eyeshadow you should kind of pack it in and drag on.
In this way the color will be very rich and less likely to fall off under the eye so you need to start over.
Cover the blue with the green tone. It gives the look of a beetle's wing.
Under certain angle of light, the blue shines through the green making it look like 3D or a hologram.
Here we use Mac -- Fresh Flare, also smudging the edges, slightly going over the top of the blue zone.
So we get a nice gradient:from illuminated blue to light and smudged green.
It is very important to tap off the extra eyeshadow, so it doesn't get under your eyes.
If you are new to this, you can use a trick. First apply foundation and powder on your eyelids, and then do the eye makeup.
So if it falls off -- you just wipe it and apply foundation on your face.
So, first you do the eye makeup. Use this when you do the eye makeup yourself.
I use the liquid eyeliner Mac Blacktrack and make a line under the eye.
Be sure to clean the brush -- always have a napkin in your hand -- so that it's clean for smudging the edge.
Draw the line from the corners tothe middle. And the upper line.
You can do it really close to the eyelashes, reaching between them with the brush to boost their volume.Smudge the edges here too.
You can tighten up the lid with your finger or nail -- so the line is even and not kind of chopped off.
And again, take some and clear off the extra, to leave just a little.
Now I use Mac Contrast, it's a dark blue shimmery shade, and apply it under the eyes on the black eyeliner, packing it in, in the same direction.
It's applied on the black to add depth to the blue shade.
Use little shadow and layer it on the black, if it's dark blue.Try not to smudge it too much, so it doesn't look dirty.Tap it on, don't drag it.
There is a general misconception, that blacklines under the eyes make them look smaller. But it all depends on the width of the line.
So if the line widens up to the middle, the eye visually opens up. Now do the same with the upper line.
I'll use a black soft pencil, BEYU 610. Pull down the bottom lid just a bit, not to touch the eye.
I'll use my favorite powder blush for contouring -- Mac Harmony, that doesn't give the red shade.
To figure out where to start contouring the cheekbone, press your finger against it and feel where the upper and the lower jaw come together. That's the hollow we want to highlight. That's about your case.
That's the hollow we want to highlight. That's about your case. In some cases we need to lift or to lower the place of the hollow.
But it shouldn't look like one fat sausage-like line; and if you bring it all the way down to this dimple, you'll only emphasize this triangle, and that can make you look older by 15 years.
So apply it in streaks downwards, to lay down the little facial hairs. Upward streaks will lift them up and make more visible.
Tap off the extra from the brush, and make a curved line from the temple to the nostril.Mix it with the blushes applied before.
I noticed that some girls when contouring their faces make the fishy face.
That's not always right, because the contouring will look more male-like.
Shading in these dimples, will emphasize that lower cheekbone.
Straightening up the nose, the sides of the nostrils, just a bit, and the tip of the nose on its sides.
Take the brush used for applying the blushes before, and apply them on the lid in the same place.
On top of the green thin and smudged layer, further below the brow. Adding more drama to it.
Now that the eye makeup is almost done, take some powder and brush away anything that's left there.
With such eye makeup, there's no need to emphasize the eyebrows too much.
For this model, I'm using shadows for blondes - neither brown nor grey, just light blonde, kind of beige.Eyeshadow will be good for this too.
I really wouldn't advise using black or brown shadows even for brunettes.
Apply the mascara thickly close to the lid, so that there're no blank spots between the eyelashes -- it can create the look of emptiness between the lid and the eyelashes.
Set the direction for the eyelashes by directing the brush away from the eye.
I'll use a light lipstick of some natural tone... A good one is tone A82. It's a pretty peachy tone
I start from the edges, then in the center, and then link the lines together.
A common mistake is to draw the line downwards form the center. It can create an asymmetric look.
So bring it from the corners to the center. With the same pencil, fill in the lips.
It will create a great base for a long-lasting lipstick.
Now that the upper eyelashes have dried, we use the mascara again -- for the lower ones.
With this kind of makeup, the lower eyelashes should also be covered with mascara.
With my fingers I take off some extra mascara. Applying the lipstick with a brush creates an even color tone.
