We're going to talk about doing a simple grind on a curve transition ramp. The key to grinding
ramps and learning how to grind ramps is approaching the transition from an angle instead of straight
on as you would with a board stall. Performing a board stall you'll approach a transition
straight to stall on the top of the copping. When learning how to do your first ramp grind,
approach the ramp from an angle. Simply ride up onto the curb, let your back and front
trucks grind shift your weight and drop back in. On that grind only, my front trucks hit. With
more practice, you can only have the front truck hit only, have the front truck hit or
do a simple 50/50 where both trucks hit. Let's try it again and see if we can get both trucks
to grind. That time both trucks were grinding on the copping. It felt more steady and my
weight was distributed more evenly. Let's try that one more time to make sure we have
it.
