I'm Jan, I'm 25 years old, living in Koblenz-Lützel and I'm the new shouter of His Statue Falls.
My love for tattoos came like 10 years ago, when I was 15 or 16.
I just can't get enough of any tattoo,
doesn't matter if it's an ultra-realistic portrait, or a mangy prison-tattoo.
I like to imagine what's the reason for the person for this or that motif.
I got my first own tattoo when I was 18 years old, I started on my chest:
On the left it says "Freiheit" ("Freedom") and "Hoffnung" ("Hope") on the right.
Most of my tattoos tell a obvious story, without a lot of space for interpretation really.
My left arm, which was done first, doesn't follow a compound theme - it's a collection
of different tattoos, most of them very personal.
Things about my family, for example: the word "Family" on my knuckles.
Something I dedicated to my father, or the name of my nephew.
Even a tattoo for my ex-girlfriend.
The light house for my hometown.
So it became a colorful mix of different images and just compound like that.
My right arm - which is not yet finished unfortunately - does tell a connected story.
So in the end the whole picture is the important part.
There are different plants and animals, and combined with the most of my torso it tells
the story of the end of civilization and of the fight of nature and the animals against humanity.
My mothers portrait sticks out a little bit on my upper arm.
On my left side - also not yet finished - is a giant octopus that attacks a ship
and on the right side a shark with a separated human hand.
The tree, that I like to call the "tree of life" , watches in the middle.
The burning skyline, and above it the rising sun, that's supposed to represent a new start.
The hawk with the scepter on my neck stands for the disempowerment of humans, with all
of their symbols of power - like the scepter for example.
I'm simply convinced that all living things on this earth are equal, that's what this
"Erdling" ("Earthling") stands for.
And that the power balance will change. The balance of the nature will win in the end
and our "leadership" here on this planet won't be for long
On my right shin is a sailing-ship with the lettering "Take me home" - which is dedicated
to my grandparents, who are all deceased.
The rest of the leg is full of nonsense-tattoos, like the Jägermeister-emblem.
I did a couple of them myself, for example the diamond, which is something special, because
it's a friendship-tattoo - just like the banana on my hand or some other little things on my body.
Those tattoos are sometimes more important and interesting to me, because they remind me
of a certain moment, a certain feeling or a certain person.
And that's why, even if they are poorly tattooed, very important to me.
I'll definitely get more tattoos, the next thing will probably be the back of my right hand
or my arm.
And the anticipation is one of the best parts, because I noticed how I get happier with every new tattoo.
