Hey guys it's Taylor and today I'm going to be showing you how to bleach your Toms. So
first thing you need to do is get into clothes that you don't care about. Okay so now I have
changed into different clothes and Im going to go in the backyard and get the stuff ready.
Okay so now I have my bucket and I am filling it with water to make the bleach-water mixture.
You don't need that much water because you are going to add bleach. You are going to
add the same amount of bleach that you did water but just a little bit more bleach. You
are going to need some painter's tape and you're going to want to cover up the tags
if you want them to stay the same color they are now. And then you are going to cover up
the insoles of the shoe. All of the parts that you don't want to be
bleached should be completely covered in many layers.
Repeat the same thing on the other shoe. Make sure to get off all of the excess tape.
So now that you have the entire shoe taped, you can take the tape and make the designs
of some sort. But make sure to make many layers so that the bleach does not soak through.
Now set your shoes in the bleach-water mixture for 30 minutes and turn them upside down so
the bleach will get all around. We'll see you in 30 minutes.
we are 15 minutes into the soaking and right now it's kind of a strange orange color as
you can see I am just hoping that the bleach doesn't seek through the tape so we can get
the stripes that we wanted. we will see you back in 15 minutes.
It has been 30 minutes and the tape has been wearing off so I am just going to take the
tape off and let it sit some more. as you can see on this one i used more layers
of tape and you can see the stripes. I am just going to leave them in for 10 more minutes.
So i am just gonna throw them into the washer because the are not doing anything and not
making any process. So you want to take them out of the bleach-water mixture and set them
in your washer and just do what you normally do for clothes or whatever you were washing
and you want some laundry detergent and put it on your normal setting.
i just took them out of the dryer and they're not exactly what I was going for but they're
clean and they're different so this is the results of me bleaching my toms/bobs.
