How to do the double hop move in Irish Dance. The double hop move consists of two parts.
The first is a hop. The dancer initiates that by stepping and jumping with the right foot.
The foot is placed toward the knee. We'll look at that hop again. To create a double
hop, the dancer quickly flicks or flutters the right foot above the knee twice. We'll
look at that again. Combining these two moves the hop and the flutter creates the double
hop in Irish Dance. Double hops can also be done on the other foot. We'll look at a series
of alternating double hops right foot then left foot. The foot is always pointed directly
down to the ground and aiming for just at the knee cap. Again, a series of alternating
double hops. How to do the double hop in Irish Step Dance.
