To poach an egg, first start off with a pan about three quarters of the way full with
water. You are going to want to bring it to a simmer, not a rolling boil or it will boil
the egg. Next , add about a teaspoon of white vinegar. This will help keep the poached egg
together as you pour it into the water. Next, take your raw egg and gently add it into the
water. You're going to let it cook until the yolk is still runny but the outside is nice
and firm. It will take about three to five minutes to cook this egg. That is how you
poach an egg.
