Hey guys, Regina Floyd of Freedom 2 Live Life Well, coming to you on Day 25, Intentions
Day 25.
Today the word is "Conformity".
What makes me think of that....I got up this morning wanting to hit the snooze and not
wanting to get out of bed, just a little bit more tired than normal I suppose.
and I was listening to the Think and Grow Rich Mastermind call, something that I get
on every Monday through Friday, at 6:00 am.
I get myself out of bed early to be able to be on that call live, and I heard Paul say
the word "conformity" in his talking and just reading the chapter.
The word "conformity" really stuck out in my mind.
I want to read a description, or I should say definition of the word "conformity" ( let
me get it here).
I looked it up online this morning because it really stuck out.
Conformity is the act of matching attitudes and behaviors to group norms and people conform
from a desire for security within a group.
It just really made me, you know, become more aware of the fact that ....
all the times in life we are willing to conform just to be like everybody else. There is comfort
in that, there's comfort in being part of a group.
The problem with that is, we don' stretch ourselves, we don't do the things that are
necessary to get what we want in life.
For example, if you want....I'll just speak for myself
I want ultimate freedom in my life and for me that means being able to do what I want,
when I want, where I want, for how long I want, with whomever I want, as much as I want!
and in order to do that I can't conform to the "job" mentality. Meaning I'm good with
working for someone else who decides how much I'm worth and they decide when I work and
how much, where and all that.
and that's just not, that wasn't good enough for me.
I made a decision...you know what? it wasn't good enough to conform.
Conformity is not a word that I want in my vocabulary.
Being an entrepreneur and taking this journey as an entrepreneur has really helped me understand
that ...
you can't conform to the norms of what everybody else is doing.
Because really, as I have gone on this journey and as my mindset has changed and this Think
and Grow Rich call has been a huge part of that...
I have come to understand that in order to be the 3%, the 3% that stands out....you can't
do what everyone else is doing.
You've got to be willing to step out and be different. You've got to be willing to do
the things no one else will do.
That in relation to fitness here, ...I work out at home and I'm here..just me and my dog.
and honestly, I could sit on the couch and watch the DVD and nobody would know any better
would they?.
I could pretend I'm working out and maybe barely move my body and call it a workout
and nobody would know any better.
but..
I'm willing to do the small things every day, the mundane things every day that I know will
add up in the long run.
That relates to fitness, it relates to business, because I'm willing to do the small mundane
things that I must do every day

I'm reading a book right now called The Slight Edge.
I really encourage you to get this book because it really gives you an idea of how to be one
of the successful people.
There are things successful people do that other people will NOT do.
When people conform to the standards of the world, or the mass population...
successful people will do things that they won't do.
For example, working out 6 days a week. Getting up, getting dressed, and working out 6 days
a week and having the integrity to do that workout even though nobody's here to watch
me and confirm that I'm doing it.
I know that i've got to take those steps. I refuse to conform and be like the masses
who won't move their body, who won't eat well.
Sure ...I can go out with friends and hit In-N-Out or get a burger and fries, but I
refuse to conform.
I refuse to conform to what everyone else is doing because I know by making better choices
each and every single day, I'm gong to get to where I want to get.
So, in terms of fitness, it means I work out and I eat the foods I know I need to eat.
We ALLknow what we need to do.
The point is, it's an easy decision to do it....it's an easy decision not to do it.
Right?
And we make the decision every single day.
So, When I think of conformity I know that when I'm around a lot of people I used to
hang out with, the things I do are odd.
They just don''t get, they don't that I committed to a work out, they don't get that I'm committed
to getting on a training every single day, they don't get where I'm committed to being
on team calls, and on company calls, instead of out watching a movie or something.
And that's because they don't understand the conformity, they don't understand you've got
to get out of conforming to what everyone else is doing and be willing to be different.
It hasn't been easy. Trust me! Most of my years I have not wanted to stand out. I've
wanted to just fit in and not be standing out and not be seen and that has changed.
I know that if I'm going to be the successful person I want to be, I gotta be different.
I've got to be willing to be the ONLYone out there doing the different thing.
And Thank God I'm not,
If you want to learn more about what I'm doing.

It's really just a decision and I'm not claiming to be perfect, but I believe I'm on my way
and I've tapped into the right groups of people that help me to not conform to the norm of
what everyone else is doing, and because of that...
I believe I'm going great places and I'd love to take you with me.
So, stay connected,
Tomorrow is Day 26..I'll let you know how my workout is going .
Talk to you soon!
Make it a fabulous day, you really do deserve it!
Bye now!
