President Park Geun-hye is waging a battle against what she calls the four social evils

President Park has ordered her government to come up with fundamental measures to root
out four major social problems in the country *** assault, school and domestic violence
and unsanitary food.
During an emergency meeting with eight related ministries on Tuesday, President Park reportedly
said that eradiacting these social ills is one of the most urgent and basic tasks facing
her administration which aims to open a new era of happiness for the people.
She stressed that people will not be able to call Korea a "happy country" at a time
when people are suffering from the effects of violence.
Following the president's lead, the government is expected to open ministerial-level meetings
led by the prime minister on the issues.
As for reducing violence in the nation's schools, senior presidential secretary foreducation
and culture Mo Chul-min put forth plans to install higher-density surveillance cameras
on school grounds so there will be no dead zones.
