I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com and today I have with me these American Muscle Saleen
style wheels for all 2005 and newer Mustangs. 2005 marked a year full of change for the
Mustang and Saleen, Ford went totally retro with the style of their Mustang, but Saleen
decided to go in a different direction with their S281’s, introducing more modern styling
into the equation, including the addition of these very cool, concave 7 spoke wheels.
Taking a closer look at these Saleen style wheels you’ll see we have them available
in 3 different finish options, we have the triple dipper chrome option shown here, a
silver option, and a very stealthy gloss black option. All these wheels are constructed from
durable lightweight aluminum and feature a lifetime structural warranty, and also a 1
year warranty on all finishes as well. As for the sizing the Saleens are offered in
both 18 and 20” diameters, and in both staggered and non staggered fitment. We went with the
20” staggered fitment here on our 2013, which will give us that old school muscle
car look but with a modern twist. The 2011 and the 2006 GT behind me are sporting the
standard fitment, which simply means you have the same width wheels and tires on all 4 corners.
I know what you’re thinking, 20s might be a little big for some Mustangs but as you
can see on our 2013 behind me, they look right at home. When purchasing a set of Saleen style
wheels, you do have the option to get the wheels just by themselves, or you can save
yourself a few steps and take advantage of one of our pre built tire and wheel combinations.
Here we pair your new Saleens up with some of the top performing tires on the market
today. We then mount, balance, and ship them to your front door all for free. Don’t forget
to take care of your TPMS sensor for all you 2007 and up guys. If you never installed a
new set of wheels and tires before, don’t worry, it couldn’t be easier, all you need
is some basic hand tools and a floor jack. You’ll first want to make sure your car
is on level ground, then go ahead and crack the lugs loose first before you jack your
car up into the air. Once you’ve jacked your car up simply swap the wheels, and you’re
done, it shouldn’t take you any more than an hour, and that’s being generous. So if
you’re a big fan of what Saleen did to the S197 Mustangs, in terms of exterior styling,
then a set of these concave 7 spoke wheels from AmericanMuscle.com would definitely be
worth checking out.
