I am going to briefly show you how to enter your students final grades to MyServices.
The software I am using to record this demo is called Camtasia, but there are also some
free programs, such as Jing, that you might want to use for recording short videos for
your class.
Sometimes a two-minute demonstration can explain a lot.
So, here we go.
At the end of each term, you will be sent an email notifying you that MyGrading
is now open for posting grades.
The deadline for getting grades posted is usually the end of Wednesday after the term
has ended.
Log into your Blackboard, and look for the MyServices tab.
These announcements are useful, but we wont pause to read them now. Just continue.
In mySERVICES, click on the mySERVICES for Faculty icon.
In the left-hand column, you will see a link for My Grading.
Pause to make sure the correct grading term is displayed (often, it is not).
There is a drop down menu to select the correct term.
Select the course you are grading by clicking on the course title.
Once in, you will find a drop-down box next to each student who is enrolled.
You will also see the names of students who dropped over the course of the semester, but
there wont be any drop-down boxes next to their names.
Select the correct grade for each student, and when you are finished, click Submit.
You will be able to go back and change a students grade, up until the deadline for grading is
reached.
By the way, if you need to make a grade change after grading has closed, it is possible to
do so with an eform found in the Intranet section of the Faculty tab.
I suggest you contact your department chair or dean for specific instructions on that.
