It's so much fun and here's a great thing that I've been using,
the wind scapes BirdCam.
This is a digital camera that takes photos and videos of your birds while you're away.
And actually I showed Dr. Kress some of the photos of my birds and
and he was pretty pleased. Look at this
A blue jay. That's a good shot. Isn't that a beauty? Beautiful. Look at this one. This is my
favorite. My favorite too. Now those are, what kind of birdsare those? Well in the air the camera
is so sharp and so fast it stopped that
dark-eyed junko mid-flight.
That's the one with the white belly. She's squawking at him. And there is an American
tree sparrow sort of defending the feeder from that junco. Look at that. Isn't that the greatest?
And then we have a great picture, oh yes, of a woodpecker. Yeah I love this. This is
the northern flicker.
It's a male, see the black whisker marks on its face there. That's a really
a good shot of the flicker. Yeah it is. And when you set this up make sure you set it up with a good background.
We also set it in another place without a
a colorful background like the sky and it didn't work as well. It's very easy use anybody can use
this camera.
And you just take
the little disk out, the little SD disk out of the inside. And then you put in your
computer and you could e-mail pictures around to friends. Thanks to the wonderful
people at Windscapes everyone in the audience is going home with a BirdCam.
