My name is Meagan Burrows. I teach here at "Adult Dance and Fitness" in Ogden, Utah.
We're going to talk about some of the requirements that you're going to need to start your Pole
Dancing. First, you want to get some equipment. There are several websites that offer poles,
even sometimes, you can purchase them in your own community. There's different kinds of
poles. There's stationary poles that are bolted in the tops and the bottoms of your ceilings.
Those do not move and cannot be taken out. There's other ones, Spinning Poles, can also
be a permanent. Those are for the advanced Pole Dancer. You can get quite dizzy on them,
and if you don't know what you're doing, you might do something crazy, but there's also
removable poles, which are convenient for your home. They have actually a plant hook
in your ceiling where your pole mounts, and then it's just tension based to your floor.
Those are good when company comes over, you can just slip it out, and then they actually
have a fake fire alarm that you can put over top of it so nobody would even know that you're
Pole Dancing in your home. I prefer the stationary pole for my studio, but at home, I do have
a removable spinning pole, which has the option to lock and become permanent.
