A co-op board is the governing body of the cooperative building where many people live
in, in New York City. It's owning shares in a corporation and the co-op board is the governing
body of this corporation. To buy in a co-op, you must go through a process of interview
and full disclosure of financials. You have to fill out, all kinds of information about
yourself and your family. You have to also put down where you went to school. You have
to put down a lot of information that some people don't feel like they want to do. So
it's an arduous process, but many of our apartments are co-ops and if you want to live in one,
you just need to know it's a process to get into it.
