- Let me tell you some history.
- 1792, this place...
- The emperor... sometimes the emperor stays here, he feels insecure.
- So he ordered the men, in 1792, to build this black stick over there. You can see the black stick.
- The black stick over there, with the black box right...
- It's when the king, right, feels insecure...
- Then they've got the CCTV to record.
- We are here at Changdeokgung Palace.
- Right behind us, this is the Changdeokgung Palace.
- Is it possible that this is free as well?
- I doubt so. How can it be free everywhere?
- Hi, two tickets. - Today, free.
- Free? - Free.
- Okay. - Oh, okay. Thank you.
- So apparently today is some special day.
- Every last Wednesday, I think all palaces have free entry.
- Monthly culture day, every last Wednesday of the month.
- Changdeokgung Palace offers free admission.
- What a coincidence.
- Luckily we didn't come yesterday. - So what I've said is correct.
- It's free! - Yeah it's free.
- Apparently, today is the last Wednesday of each month.
- And in Korea they considered the last Wednesday of each month the...
- Culture day!
- Now we're gonna enter the Changdeokgung...
- For?
- For? Visit!
- For free!
- We just came in with nothing, for free.
- Last Wednesday of each month, the culture day.
- When you walk in, you can see this very very beautiful...
- Don't know what the hell this tree is.
- With a very very very beautiful...
- Traditional Korean arkite@$%#... Ah ah ah...
- Architecture.
- This place looks so much better than the Gyeongbokgung because they have more trees.
- And apparently, oh my god, the Koreans they are really... not scared of cold, really.
- They don't feel cold at all!
- They are immune to cold!
- Wow there are lots of coins, wanna get them?
- There!
- Let's go get them.
- This is supposed to be a river but then no water here.
- Okay so now we're entering the main gate.
- Of the palace.
- Alright, so let's head on in.
- This place looks, a bit more spacious.
- Let me tell you some history.
- 1792...
- In the year, 1792...
- This place, the emperor... sometimes the emperor stays here, he feels insecure.
- So he ordered the men, in 1792, to build this black stick over there. You can see the black stick.
- The black stick over there, with the black box right...
- It's when the king, right, feels insecure...
- Then they've got the CCTV to record.
- Wow... - Yeah man.
- This is it for Changdeokgung Palace.
- Changgyeongung? Not Changdeokgung?
- Changgyeongung. There are two actually.
- You see...
- Just now, the one that we went to is the Changdeokgung.
- This is the Changgyeonggung.
- I don't know if it's opened in winter, but you can try coming here in winter as well.
- But I don't recommend to stay too long. Because, really nothing much.
- But if you're the person who likes to enjoy the view of this place.
- And likes to take it slow, then this will be a very good place for you.
- The next stop, we're gonna go, Jogyesa Temple.
- So right now we are here at Jogyesa Temple.
- Just beside the Anguk station.
- It really looks very beautiful with the colored lanterns and stuff.
- So now after about 200 to 300 meters walk.
- We are at this, some quiet back alley of Korea.
- And as you can see, a lot of stores there.
- I'm very hungry already, so just take a pick and let's have our meal.
- I have no idea what this place, the name is.
- Try to read it.
- It's this one. - I know I'm thinking, I need time to process.
- You took way too long to process. - Come on I'm not good at Korean.
- Gyodong.
- You're supposed to know, you've been learning for two months and you're so happy.
- There are too much characters.
- Now we are here at Gyodong restaurant.
- Just your usual Korean dish here.
- There are a lot of people here, I guess this is a very well-known place.
- Kimchi hotpot, or stew. Kimchi stew.
- Tofu stew, rice.
- Which is complimentary, unlimited flow.
- Vegetable egg, is it vegetable egg or something?
- Oh yeah, and where's the...
- The utensils.

- You see you can check how long more the bus will come.
- Ladies and gentlemen, do not try to use Google Maps in Korea.
- Because Google Maps will not work.
- Due to some law restrictions, Google Maps will not work in Korea.
- So please use their own maps, Naver Maps and Daum Maps.
- Oh this place is called the...
- Jangchungdan Park.
- The Namsan Tower is just right there.
- We're gonna take bus number two.
