Hey guys, this is Josh from JJBCR! Today I am going to be showing you
how to make
a sleeve for football out of just us a sock!
It will end up turning out something like this.
So, what you will need to start out is some scissors,
a glue stick (Or any kind of glue),
a Sharpie marker (or any other any kind of marker),
and you want a sock. So,
what you're gonna wanna do first,
is take the sock, and, Well first of all,
there's two kinds of
sleeves. One of them would be the kind that just goes up your arm,
but does not come out to the front, and for that you would want to cut
right through here, and that's a simple kind, but the kind I like to do is more
advanced.
for the one I like to do, you which covers the
whole hand, first you cut this off.
You cut off the end. Now you're gonna wanna cut off
about an inch of the end, but that really doesn't matter depending on how
it's comfortable for you, and I don't think you should cut off too much to
begin with, because it's easy to cut
off more, but it's hard to put it back together
because if you cut off too much. And it's kinda hard to get cut,
so don't give up! Just keep
trying. One of the hardest steps is getting it cut.
Okay, once you have this done this
would be (I'm sorry the one I'm making is really small, by the way)
you would have this right,
but as you can see, it's kinda hard to catch a ball like that. Your thumbs
out of the hole.
So I got this now,
and what you're gonna want to do
is cut a hole for your thumb. If you're a lefty,
you cut the hole right here,
where your thumb is, and if you're a righty, you cut the hole right there. I am a righty
so I'm gonna cut the hole hear, and you don't want to cut
all the way up to the top we just want to cut down on the side like this,
and then you
cut a little tiny half circle
big enough that your thumb fits, but not big enough that your hand falls out,
when you're playing. And this also is kinda hard to cut so
don't give up you wanna make sure you don't take
too much of the sock off just like for the last step,
but you can take more if you need to.
So,
I almost have this done. It's kinda hard to get
off. Almost there,
There! Now you have, this.
and all the steps that are after this,
are optional. However, if you want this to be
better and like, express you better
then, now is when you're going to want
a Sharpie and a glue stick so
the glue stick is for
for yeah from the glue stick
is, you glue it on I recommend, if you're using a white sock,
put it on the grey part so you recognize which part has the glue.
Like this.
glue the grey part with your glue stick,
and yes.
Push really are until you can see that there's
glue on there. then, once that's done,
you're going to let it dry, and
then, and guys I'm not gonna let mine dry
so I can't really use this right away. But I have
one that I already made to show you guys, but
you get the Sharpie now (if you want, this is also optional)
and you see this, and
you can take your Sharpie, and like
write whatever you want on the thing
to make it say whatever you want
or you can draw a picture doesn't have to say something.
It just is kinda cool if it
shows something that expresses you and,
So yeah. And you also want to let the Sharpie dry.
And, see here's my example, my sleeve
*Haha* I have pretty bad handwriting. Then,
once you have this done,
if you want this leave to have plays is on it
I really haven't gotten that far yet
but, if you want to do that what I've done on mine
I haven't done it on the sleve yet, but what I did was
if you take it like this and you fold it in,
then sometimes it works if you write stuff on here.
Like i'm just gonna do that. I'm going to example of that
in a second here. It's kind of hard to read so you gotta have some really good
handwriting or really good eyes
to be able to read this. I'm just going to do a running play and it
really isn't a good play it's just an example.
It's not even a real play (unnless you want it to be).
So, there!
Here is your play. It's backwards for you
because im facing at the camera. And so
I have this now and I can just
fold that in. Then when I fold it,
then ther's your play. And everything you saw past cutting,
is optional. Like, you don't even have to do if you don't want to.
And if you do one that's pretty good,
it should turn out something like this.
this was the first I made, and
its pretty cool, I think!
And Then I can fold down,
and here's my play, right there.
Either way what you did with the glue in the begining, if you were wondering,
it makes it so that, since a sock is kinda slippery,
the glue makes it so that it does not slip
much. It still slips, but not as much as it would
with just the sock. So yeah!
