There are more presentations in other rooms. Come on.
There are books, all kinds of shirts, do you want to purchase them?
There's food and drinks.
You recently saw the preview of this event, this is the 2nd Deaf Youth International Festival in Turin, Italy.
Frontrunners 8 came all the way from Denmark to Italy. There are all kinds of presentations, topics and workshops.
The topics are 'Can Deaf people dance?', 'Can Deaf be interpreters?' along with the topics of EUDY and H3.
This is not all, we have a couple of interviews.
Hi, what is your name? My name is Florian Gravogl, and I live in Vienna, Austria.
You presented today about H3, can you explain a bit more about it to us?
The youth festival asked H3 to present. H3 is a media outlet which broadcasts its news in International Sign worldwide.
Many people know H3 as its seen at major Deaf events worldwide such as Deaflympics and WFD Congress.
And there are some that do not know much about us so we inform them of what we do. Some think that we are a
business that makes a profit but infact we dont, we are a non-for-profit organization with a number of volunteers.
The aim of H3 is to spread information to the Deaf community worldwide in International Sign.
What future events will H3 be involved in?
Currently on our website there are daily information on the world news out there and we also have 'Deaf Wire' which
broadcasts about the news of the Deaf community worldwide.
We will also hope to be working on a big project which is the Deaflympics this upcoming summer in Sofia, Bulgaria.
What inspiring message does H3 want to share with the world?
We would love it if more and more people watch our videos. And if you have ideas to share with us or if you have
knowledge of Deaf-related events, we would love to know about it and see if we are able to broadcast it.
Hi, I'm with Alexandra Kotsaki who presented about EUDY. It was a very interesting presentation. Can you tell us more?
Yes, thank you. I came to present at this festival to raise more awareness and knowledge about EUDY and what it does.
The profile of EUDY has risen and we want to show people our aims and our vision to promote equal human rights for
Deaf people to have full access in interpreting services and to gain full employment. I am also involved in
organizing EUDY camps with different ages. I am currently establishing a summer school which will occur in this summer.
We are also organizing a seminar next month. We are informing who can be a member of EUDY, everyone is welcome.
Associations and people can be members, EUDY is open for everyone to be involved in.
What is your position in EUDY?
I am on the board of EUDY as a treasurer. I also focus on supporting developing countries in the process of
establishing their youth associations.
How do you want European Deaf Youth to succeed in the membership of EUDY?
The aim of EUDY is to provide full access to the youth and members. EUDY cannot expand without the mutual support.
With the ongoing support, we are able to organize Youth Camps, seminars, one which is happening next month,
in which the youth can learn how to be strong leaders themselves and also the upcoming summer school. We aim to
have all the youth unite.
Word is out that there is a big event coming up in November! What is it?
That's right, next month (November 2nd - 3rd), in Groningen, The Netherlands, we will be hosting a Youth Seminar.
This seminar will focus on to obtain funding for associations. Associations and individual members are welcome.
We hope the participants are able to learn something and to bring it back to their home country.
EUDY will be having a 25th Anniversary event. It will be exciting, hope to see you there!
