FLUID DRAINING
CLOSE FLUID NON-RETURN VALVES LOCATED ON ENGINE DOOR AND SIDE DOOR
LOOSEN BRACKETS AND DISCONNECT NON-RETURN HOSE FROM BIFURCATED JUNCTION
COLLECT LIQUID USING A FUNNEL AND A PROPER STORAGE CONTAINER
DISCONNECT HOSE FROM TOP FLOOR VALVE OUTLET AND APPLY COMPRESSED AIR MODERATELY
TO REMOVE ANY REMAINING LIQUID FROM INSIDE THE HOSES
FROM THIS POINT ON MAINTENANCE SERVICES ON THE HEATING SYSTEM CAN BE PERFORMED.
HEATING VALVE REPLACEMENT
REMOVE SCREWS ATTACHING THE VALVE TO SUPPORT WITH PIPING COMPLETELY DRAINED
REMOVE VALVE INLET AND OUTLET HOSES
DISCONNECT SOLENOID PLUG AND COMPRESSED AIR HOSE
REPLACE VALVE WITH ANOTHER DE SAME CHARACTERISTICS
WHEN RECONNECTING VALVE IDENTIFY CORRECTLY LIQUID INLET AND OUTLET POSITION
RECONNECT AIR HOSE AND SOLENOID PLUG
USE A TORQUE WRENCH TO ADJUST TO THE RECOMMENDED TORQUE
IN ORDER TO PARA TIGHTEN HOSE BRACKETS
PUT BACK VALVE ATTACHMENT SCREWS.
RECONNECT NON-RETURN HOSE TO BIFURCATED JUNCTION AND TIGHTEN BRACKETS USING TORQUE WRENCH.
HEATING RADIATOR CLEANING
REMOVE PLASTIC CAP FROM RADIATOR
REMOVE ALL RADIATOR ATTACHMENT SCREWS FROM BUS FLOOR
DISCONNECT ELECTRIC MOTOR POWER
LOOSEN CONNECTORS ON HEATING PIPING
REMOVE FILTER ATTACHED WITH VELCRO ON RADIATOR BOX
REMOVE MOTOR CAP FOR ACCESS TO RADIATOR
WASH FILTER WITH WATER AND MILD SOAP; BLOW IT DRY USING COMPRESSED AIR
WASH RADIATOR WITH RUNNING WATER AND BLOW IT DRY USING COMPRESSED AIR
BEFORE REASSEMBLING MAKE SURE THE CONNECTORS ARE IN GOOD CONDITIONS.
IN ORDER TO REPLACE SEALING REMOVE CONNECTORS AND THEIR O-RINGS,
REPLACE THEM WITH CONNECTORS OF SAME MODEL THEN PUT CONNECTOR BACK IN ITS ORIGINAL POSITION
PUT CAP BACK WITH ELECTRIC MOTORS ON RADIATOR BOX
ADJUST RADIATOR PERFECTLY TO CONNECTORS AND TIGHTEN THEM WELL
ATTACH BACK RADIATOR ATTACHMENT SCREWS TO BUS FLOOR
ALSO CHECK PIPING JUNCTIONS ON THE REAR END OF PASSENGERS' COMPARTMENT FOR LEAKING.
COOLING LIQUID REPLACEMENT
OPEN LIQUID NON-RETURN VALVES
START THE BUS ENGINE ELEVATING ITS ROTATION A LITTLE THEN PUT BACK LIQUID UNTIL FULL LEVEL
CLOSE CAP LEAVING IT HALF-OPEN TO LET THE AIR OUT OF HOSES DURING LIQUID CIRCULATION
MAINTAIN ENGINE ROTATION BETWEEN 1000 AND 1200 RPMS
TURN UPPER HEATING ON FOR 10 MINUTES THEN CHECK LIQUID LEVEL
IF NECESSARY, FILL UP COOLING LIQUID; REFER TO CHASSIS MANUAL FOR IDEAL MIXTURE INFORMATION.
