This is the Hollywood Gossip, thanks for watching I'm Brooke Burgstahler.
LADIES! Ladies, let's talk.
In general the media paints a picture of beauty for us all to aspire to
Then companies sell us different products and tools and paints for our faces so we can
live up to that ideal. And it can kind of be disheartening when you
don't live up to a standard, especially one that is nearly impossible to attain.
A lot is expected of women, to maintain flawless skin, luscious hair, and perfectly pouted
lips. And quite frankly, that can be friggin annoying.
SO as a little ego boost for all us women out there, and to serve as some inspiration
to own the skin you're in, let's take a peak at some celebs who have bared their faces.
More recently, Jennifer Lawrence has gone au naturale for a series of Dior ads.
The Hunger Games actress is becoming a role model for body image issues in Hollywood.
As she has been quoted essentially telling anyone who tells her to lose weight to "***
off."
Demi Lovato is another one of our fem-crushes, as she is a huge advocate for natural beauty
and expression. In this photo she posted, the caption reads
"Ladies, be brave today.. take off your make-up and stop using those filters!! WE are beautiful!!!"
And how about this gorgeous shot of Beyonce looking perfectly glowing and fresh-faced
without a lick of makeup to be seen. FLAWLESS.
And of course, Rihanna. Who often wears a clean face and serves as another awesome celebrity
role model. Okay, well maybe not a role model given her
latest music video, but when it comes to loving yourself-- this girl's got it down.
SEE LADIES! It can be done. Its a movement! Nothing like a positive revolution.
Wear the stuff, buy the things, primp and prod all you want-- but LADIES when you look
in the mirror try reminding yourself that you are a glorious being of light and love
and you don't need to match any one else's idea of beauty but your own.
