Lawrence Bender, Hollywood Film Producer: "My favorite memory is either--well, it was
two things. One was performing here. When I came to get my degree in civil engineering,
the idea of being on a stage and performing in front of people would never in a million
years have occurred to me. And to get up and perform, I mean that would have--I don't think
that was in my blood at all, but it must've been because it turned out to be the thing
I was most passionate about. So, just being here and dancing was--it's hard to describe.
You know as an artist if you play the violin, the violin is your instrument. If you're a
painter--it's your brush and your canvas But as a dancer, your body is your instrument.
So, there's a certain feeling when you're a dancer because that's very unique to perform
because you are the instrument of expression."
