Hi, I am Tamal Bhattacharya speaking on behalf of Expert Village. There are many techniques
for murals, fresco, sand casting, sculpture and iron; the most popular being terracotta.
My thinking is that your mural should always relate to the environment in which it is placed.
First you should select your art. I am going to do a garden scene and therefore my chosen
terracotta objects relate to the garden. I am going to lay my terracotta pieces out on
the floor and then draw the fern branches and leaves around them using different textures.
I imagine my wall as a large garden and create my mural for that environment. All artwork
is not a design. Design always maintains space and purpose. After finishing a mural it will
create a different visual effect. Murals always relate to architecture and environment, but
the design is the artist creativity. When you create terracotta murals always think
artist creativity in design and architecture and environment with space. Thank you.
