As a Scientific Review Officer, my job is to ensure the quality review of grant applications in a particular area.
I'm in charge of a particular study section that receives applications from scientists across the country
This job needs scientific expertise, which most of the scientist out there have, who do bench science.
And those who are interested in doing work at a desk, this job is perfect in those terms.
Without working at the bench, they can still do science.
And actually interact with the scientific community all over.
And not doing bench science but yet feeling like they are involved scientifically.
At the end of the day when I just finished my job I feel like I've accomplished something.
That's the best part of the job, that you just feel accomplished.
