Hey guys this is Shak from GamingAhead and damn it's been a while since I played
an RPG correctly so
I'm here to bring you the Final Fantasy 13 Review
these are some amazing visuals that you won't see in any other RPG to date, its just fantastic
when it goes
to cutscenes
The major aspect of the game that I really liked is how the squad of 6 come together
how their stories
are intertwined in the full game
Sometimes you will be happy to see the in-game cutscenes
but your mouth will be left wide open when you see the top notch CG
that there is in the game, it’s just amazing you guys!
First of all id like to say that there is no *** with Square Enix, they have a
huge reputation of coming
and making great games
and a lot of other companies just look up to them
The game really starts out a little bit slow, but that’s just because there teaching you
all the little elements
little by little
and after that
after that you start learning by yourself, it takes a really long time to master this
Me and Avik were playing the game simultaneously, even though he was about 20 hours ahead of
me, when I went over
and checked how he was playing the game
I was amazed at the amount of things I had to learn
little things like stopping the bar progression to attack anytime, little quirks like that
you have to learn it slowly and takes you a while to perfect your strategies
There are a lot of enemies in the game and a good variety of them. Some of them are kinds
plain
plain and basic but a lot of really colorful and designed pretty well
you just think the developers are on crack when they design these animals
The music composition for FF13
is really nice
I mean ya once in a while you will get those cheesy moments but overall it’s an epic
experience
the music fits perfectly and leaves you into the action of the game
When characters interact if feels very natural
you see they have emotion in their face and when theyre talking to each other
your feel what they’re feeling
so it just leaves you up in held in the moment
The combat system is done pretty well, while it is a turn based system I didn’t have
great expectations
for it, but turns out I was wrong, turns out it was pretty great
as you level up your character you learning
more abilities say you have Lightning as your commando
slowly maybe around level 2 commando
you will have the ability launch your enemies straight up into the sky and f*** 'em up
Let me run you through a basic battle: so you have your squad anytime you click auto
battle you basically will be doing a basic attack
but if you want to better defeat your enemies you wanna cast librascope
and find out their weaknesses
say their weakness is electricity
now your casters will cast electricity to better defeat you opponents
When you’re in the board game sequence of the game
actually see all the enemies there are you might even see 2 enemies fighting
each other
but advanced users will really want to sneak up and do a pre-emptive strike and do more
damage
the benefit of actually getting a pre-emptive strike is actually
getting the stagger past 99%
so a couple more hits will put them over the edge
Timing is of the essence in this game
while ya in a decent of time you can defeat
defeat a battle in about 3 stars, but the point is you be 5 stars
and get more crystogen and basic materials
A key part of this is the paradigm shitfts
You wanna shift after every attack and if the timing is great your bar will be automatically
refilled
and by the time you reach some hardcore enemies you will know
what to shift and when
adding to the maximum damage you can do
The
crystogen upgrading system is very balanced and you will have the ability to upgrade your
character
any way you want it
main highlight about that is say you wanna go and defeat the boss if your rushing through
chances are when you get there
the final boss is gonna f*** your *** up
chances are 9 times out of 10 you will need to backtrack
and get more experience to slowly better yourself finally beat that final ***
A CG moment I will never forget there is a racing event going on
all the squad mates come up with their summons to chase after the bad guys messages she said
to
that moment made
my eyes open up wow
there is so much detail
detail little things going on but so much s***
it’s just mind boggling
The controls are very simplistic you will be operating thru a menu system most of the
time
flawless and minimal keeps it out of the way we just f***in love it
as time progresses you will be noticing you are spending more and more time in the menus
the menus are really well done
you know it's nice that simple
easy to understand and even if your not an experienced RPG player you will have no trouble
understanding
it
I’m frustrated with all these
f***in bulls**t save systems
FF13 system say if you die in a battle you will be respawned exactly right before the
battle
that’s what kept me playing
going forward they don’t punish you and its great
Unlike any other FF there is
no towns no world maps
what there is are little save stations
the save stations are compacted you can save your game
visit stores to buy and sell materials and equipment
and upgrade your weapons there
0:07:08.879,0:07:12.729to say guys that’s there’s way too much in this game to just
come up here
and talk about
get the game if your and RPG fan get it you definitely will not be missing out just enjoy
it it’s a fantastic
top notch RPG title
and love the s*** out of it
As an aside to the game just a little personal expectation I was kinda disappointed
that Sazh didn’t get to at least
dry hump Vanille throughout the whole game they spent so much time with
each other
kind of frustrated me
but you can’t have everything.
You can’t have everything…that’s it.
You can’t have everything…that’s it.
