Amazing community gathering every Saturday morning.
These farmers come in from all over California.
Most of these fruits were picked late yesterday or early today.
Would you like to try one?
Let's go down here.
Sweet Lipstick. Beautiful pepper. Are those hot?
How much do you want for this orange?
Mother Earth is unbelievable.
You throw seeds in the ground, you take care of them,
and you give them some water.
So I got a desk job; I got a big corporate job.
But here I'm Farmer Joe, you know?
Something about putting your hands in soil ... hard to explain.
That's a nice red onion. Look at that onion.
We can use that for our guacamole.
Regardless of whatever else you eat, the ability
to try to get back to nature and eat food the way I
believe God intended us to— there's just nothing like it.
I didn't know if you wanted to get a bit of a beach shot.
There's a nice little beach up here called Henry's.
I spent my whole career in media and entertainment,
so I never thought
that someday I'd run a green energy company.
My company is working on a technology
that makes gasoline without using crude oil.
So I feel passionate about what we're trying to do.
I believe that this earth was created for us.
And I think it's very important to take responsibility for it.
In terms of the air quality and the water and the soil
and the food that we eat and the way we treat each other—
to me it's all interconnected.
I think ultimately, the only thing that matters
is how people feel about themselves. And
if all this led to being miserable or uptight or mean,
then what would be the purpose, right?
So we're all in this together.
My name is Byron Elton.
I'm a husband, a father, vegetarian, Frisbee player.
I run a green fuel technology company in Santa Barbara,
and I'm a Mormon.
