O.k, the slice is probably the most common problem among all golfers. So, what I've done
here, is I've set up my line of flight with this club and then the line of my feet. But,
we're going to change it a little bit from previous ideas. What I want you to think about
here is the main reason most people slice the ball, is they take the club out this way,
so they're actually getting close to this line of flight. So, like once you get the
club out here, the only way you can hit it, is to come down this way across the ball,
so you can see how that pulls the club, the line of the club is going to come across the
ball. So, when the club comes across the ball, it's going to create side spin on the ball,
creating a slice. So, it's going to be very hard to hit a ball straight, and even hit
it very well, when you take the club outside like that. So, that's where most players go
wrong, is they do that. So, the solution to that problem is to use these parallel lines,
and never let your club even go close to the line of flight. And, you can actually open
up the line of your feet a little bit, so you can have some room. So, what I like to
do is just make sure I take my club back this way, so somewhat on the inside, so now I'm
here and when I come down, my club winds up pretty square with the ball, it'll produce
a nice, straight shot. So, if you're having problems slicing, put a club or some type
of a, like a yard stick outside your ball, and if you even come close to that with your
takeaway, that's when you're going to slice the ball. So, just take the club inside that
club, and you'll hit the ball nice and straight virtually every time. So, it's going to take
some work and you're going to get frustrated, but it's going to help you in the long run
to do this.
